Women have the tendency to say “I’m sorry” far too often.
Have you ever noticed how much you apologize throughout the course of the day? Some women apologize before they even ask a question or after they ask someone to do them a favor. There are women who even say they are sorry if someone else bumps into them.
While saying “I’m sorry” a fair amount is considered polite, women tend to overuse the phrase. According to Dr. Rachel Busman, a clinical psychologist at the Child Mind Institute, saying you are sorry before a sentence signifies that you “don’t feel confident in what [you] are about to say or [your] right to say it.”
Stop apologizing for everything you do in 2017 and allow yourself to feel that you have just as much right as anyone else to be you.
